"Fuck you! What the fuck do you care?" she screeched back, dropping the knife lower to the cutting board, where her bare wrist was planted, upside-down. Small, horizonatal scars reflected the bright kitchen lights.

"That doesn't matter! Don't do that! Just put the thing down!" He advanced closer, outstretching his hand to take the razorsharp utensil from her. He didn't need this right now.
